Cofounded Watsynq after watching utilities spend $18K per wrong-dig three times in a calendar year.
Nadia Vasquez
Head of Data Science & Co-Founder
Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics (Stanford). Research focus: anomaly detection in multivariate time series for infrastructure monitoring. Prior to Watsynq, built ML models for predictive maintenance in the semiconductor fab sector (Applied Materials). Leads the risk-scoring model architecture, feature engineering pipeline, and model interpretability layer at Watsynq.
Marcus Tran
Customer Success Lead
8 years in enterprise SaaS customer success, including 4 years at Xylem's digital solutions group supporting SCADA integration deployments for water utilities across the Mountain West. Deep familiarity with utility procurement, onboarding, and how operations teams actually adopt new software. Runs all pilot onboardings and quarterly business reviews for Watsynq customers.
Daniel Reyes
Lead Backend Engineer
B.S. Computer Science (UC San Diego). 10 years in industrial IoT and sensor data platforms — previously at Itron (smart grid metering) and a growing industrial analytics startup. Leads Watsynq's cloud infrastructure, SCADA historian connectors (OSIsoft PI, Wonderware, iFIX), and platform API. Focuses on low-latency telemetry ingestion and time-series database performance at scale.
Sarah Okonkwo
Infrastructure Integration Engineer
GISP certified, 7 years in GIS for municipal utilities including water, stormwater, and wastewater networks. Expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, pipe network data models (geometric networks and utility network), and GIS-to-SCADA integration workflows. At Watsynq, handles all customer GIS onboarding, pipe schema alignment, and spatial risk map validation.
Priya Mehta
Product Manager — Security & Compliance
B.S. Information Systems. Previously owned the product roadmap for enterprise security and compliance features at a cloud infrastructure startup serving regulated industries. At Watsynq, drives platform security posture — SOC 2 Type II controls alignment, access review cycles, and the data residency program for water authority customers operating under AWIA 2018 and state-level OT data governance requirements. The primary liaison between customers' IT security reviewers and the engineering team.
